WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressman Pat Harrigan (R-NC), a combat-decorated Green Beret, graduate of the United States Military Academy, and defense entrepreneur representing North Carolina’s 10th District, has been appointed to the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness, the Subcommittee on Military Personnel, and the Subcommittee on Intelligence and Special Operations.

“The military’s job is simple: to deter our adversaries and, if necessary, to win wars,” said Congressman Harrigan. “Our servicemembers deserve the resources, training, and leadership required to execute that mission. On these subcommittees, I will fight to ensure that America’s military remains unmatched and our nation remains secure against any threat—on the ground, in the air, at sea, and in space.”

The Subcommittee on Readiness focuses on ensuring the military’s infrastructure, logistics, and training are aligned with modern demands and future challenges. The Subcommittee on Military Personnel addresses critical issues like recruitment, retention, pay, and benefits to support servicemembers and their families. The Subcommittee on Intelligence and Special Operations oversees highly sensitive programs that drive America’s strategic edge, ensuring the armed forces can counter adversaries’ evolving technologies and tactics.

With experience in combat and the defense industry, Congressman Harrigan brings a unique, mission-focused perspective to his work on these House Armed Services Subcommittees, ensuring America’s military remains a force to be reckoned with on every front.
