WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressman Pat Harrigan (R-NC), a combat-decorated Green Beret, graduate of the United States Military Academy, and representative of North Carolina’s 10th District, has been appointed to the United States Military Academy Board of Visitors to oversee the academy’s mission, programs, and operations.
“West Point is where I learned to lead with courage, decisiveness, and an unrelenting commitment to mission success,” said Congressman Harrigan. “As a member of the Board of Visitors, I will ensure today’s cadets are equipped with the tools, training, and resolve to face the battlefield of the future. West Point is not just a school—it’s the crucible where America’s warriors are forged, and I will fight to keep it worthy of that sacred mission.”
“I am proud to appoint Pat Harrigan to the Board of Visitors at West Point,” said Chairman Mike Rogers (R-AL). “As a West Point graduate and former Green Beret, Pat brings unparalleled experience and dedication to this role. I am confident he will be a strong advocate for the cadets and the academy’s mission.”
With a distinguished military career and a record of leadership, Congressman Harrigan will focus on strengthening the academy’s programs, ensuring cadet readiness, and maintaining West Point’s status as the world’s premier institution for developing Army officers. His appointment will run through the end of the current Congress.
